What do I need to use XTV?
You need a television with an external input. This can be a composite, svhs or component input. You also need highspeed internet access with speeds in excess of 300k.

I have DirecTV. Can I use XTV?
You need to have high speed Internet service from DirecTV. XTV works over the Interent not through satellites.

My TV does not have any inputs. Can I still use xtv?
You will need a purchase a converter in this instance or use the external line input of a device like a VCR. You should be able to easily find a converter at you local electronics store.

What video input is the best to use?
The quality levels are as follows.
Best - Component
Good - SVHS
Fair - Composite

Will the XTV box work in 16x9?
Currently the aspect ration is 4:3. If you are using a widescreen television you may want to check if your tv has a zoom function.

Currently we are only selling an NTSC version but will have a PAL version shortly.

Can you run XTV through a stereo reveiver?
You can use any device that supports the cables we use.

We kindly ask you not to pirate the movies our service provides.

How fast does my Internet service need to be?
We recommend a minumum of 300k. This is for low end quality. For better quality levels the minimum required is 500k.

Do I need to get another IP?
We require our box to have a working ip address. It does not need to be a public address if you have a nat device. If you only have one public IP from your provider we highly recommend getting a nat (websafe) router.

Does XTV work with firewalls?
XTV works fine through firewalls. You will need to allow port 554 and port 80.

Do you support PPoE?
Currently we do not natively support PPoE. You will need a websafe router to handle the PPoE connection for you. We will be supporting PPoE on the box in a future version however we still recommend that you use a websafe router to share your interent connection and protect your computer.

Will XTV work on a wireless network?
Yes but you will need to have both a wireless game adapter and a wirless access point.
